Ok, folks, time to tell the tale of Holly the Rushie and her trip to and in NYC.
Sit down kiddies; it's a long story.
Once upon a time there was a Rushie named Holly. Holly is a 21 year old girl with red wavey hair and green eyes who happens to be madly in love with the amazing aussie actor Geoffrey Rush. She saved up every penny for 5 months to make it to NYC to go see him on stage in the production of Exit the King.
Soon June 7th came and it was time for her journey to the Big Apple! Of course, things never go according to plan. Her flight was delayed an hour and half, causing her to miss her connecting flight. She had to catch another plane in Chicago which gt her to NYC 2 and half hours late. Finally arriving at The Blakely hotel to be greeted by her wonderful fellow Rushies! She received a very lovely greeting and it made all her traveling stress go away! Here she met Renee from Jersey, Lauren from Aussie, Grace from England and Cate from France! It was very exciting!
The amazing Renee gave Holly a present she will never forget; an invitation from Geoffrey himself to go have champagne with him after the show on the 9th! Holly freaked the fuck out. That's what happen! After calming down they all watched The Tony's to watch there handsome Geoffrey win best actor!!!!!

We all squeed and screamed!
Finally being able to sleep after all the excitement, Holly did and woke up to enjoy the city of NYC with Grace and Lauren.

Monday:
We did so much walking that first day, saw a lot of NYC, went to FOA Schwarz ...however you spell it, and got some cute stuffed animals! I got a cute German Shepherd and named him Hansel. :). We would have done more but poor Lauren got sick and needed to rest. Later the night Susan came, her and I went and got 12 dollar cheesecake while Grace and Lauren got their much needed rest.
Tuesday:
Was spent ALL day getting ready for the amazing night. It takes me quite awhile to do my hair and makeup. Then I was indecisive on what dress and shoes I'd wear. I decided on my black Clarice Starling dress; classy.
Once we were all dolled up; me making several calls to close friends to calm me down on the fact I was to meet Geoffrey Rush, Susan, Grace, Lauren and I hailed a taxi and went to the theatre where we met up with Renee, Cate, Maggie and Donna (she surprised us!, well me at least). Rushies united!!
I sat in row 3, center so I had an epic seat. The ladies were behind me ^^. The show was hilarious. I would love to perform this show! If i had known earlier I would have easily auditioned for Marie's role. I would have gotten to be all over Geoffrey; haha.
After the show all of us were eager to go back stage to meet Geoffrey!!!!! So, we waited, everyone surrounded the stage door and soon we got called back, everyone all :O!! when they watched all 8 of us walk behind the doors. And there was Geoffrey Rush in his bathrobe, drinking a Guinness, awaiting our arrival. He was so amazing. I was in shock. He greeted us all, knew a few of the girls and then met us. Kissing us all on the cheek! Le sigh!!!
We followed him into our dressing room, him talking to us like we were his friends, telling us to find a place to sit while he got us champagne then he went to bathe! Ah! He showered when we were in his room!!! So much temptation, haha. We all took plenty of photos of his dressing room. Several mins. later he came out, nice and clean and took a seat, and we gave him presents and Renee gave him lots of letters from the all the Rushies who could not make it. He was so sweet. He gave us all signed playbills that had out names on them; HOW SWEET IS THAT?! I love this man.
Sigornie Weaver just so happened to walk in ans say hello to all of us and say how jealous she was that she didn't get invited! Haha. She was a sweet heart ^_^
After that Geoffrey was amazing and asked, "Would you ladies care to grab a bite to eat and have some wine?" Of course we all acting suave, "Yeah, sure, sounds good." When I know all of us were "OMFG YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!YESS!!" In our head.So away we went, talking to him as we walked to the private lounge Joe Allen. He went in to get us a booth and then came out. While we waited Julia Roberts and Haden came out, chatted with Geoffrey and left. That was cool. Waiting some more, Geoffrey smoked his ciggs which he makes SO sexy, mmm purrr!
Soon enough we went in, got our booth and sat down. It was amazing. A bluur almost because it was so much like a dream. We all got to talk to him about stage, movies, dogs, aussie and more. I loved that he appreciated me noticing how the King had no children in the play. He said he never thought about it.^^; After several hours enjoying wine with him he had to leave; he was very tired, we could tell. I think he also missed being home. I would too. Anyways, I asked him if I could burden him for a pic and he said of course. Omg. He held me and I held him. Not a little hug, it was like a big, cuddle hug. Ima say it was sensual. It felt like that. I was lucky my camera was having issues so I got to hold on him for what seemed like hours (and him holding on to me). My memory card was full so Susan had to use her camera, so I don't have the pic. After that amazing moment we went outside with him, only Donna, Susan and I, while the girls waited for the restroom. Here was amazing. He loved my shoes. "Fabulous shoes, love." I believe he said. I think he may have a slight foot fetish considering how long he stared at them, haha. I have very pretty feet, I will admit that now. ^^;. "Parting is such sweet sorrow." He had to leave and gave kisses on the cheek. For me? No. I got to kiss him on the lips! I fuckin went for it! I KISSED GEOFFREY RUSH ON THE LIPS!!!!THE FUCKIN LIPS!!! I could have died then and there and it'd be ok. ...THE LIPS!!!! My dreams (most of it) came true! I cannnot believe I kissed the man of my dreams on the lips! *faint*

The rest of the week was fun, got to see a lot. A gay server loved me and kissed me on the cheek after I gave him a huge tip. He was hilarious!
The last night I had a good time at Jekyll and Hyde Restaurant! It was so awesome!! I didn't wanna leave. I miss NYC, The Rushies and Geoffrey. I hope to go back some other time and I hope to be with all you Rushies again for another Rush meet!!
When I got home, there was this romance novel in bag that was not mine. Lmao. How funny is that?
It's good to be home.
I went out and bought Geoffrey some thank you candies from Senior Murphys, pretty much the best candy store in the world. We have original candies that rich people come over just to get it. So, I hope he likes it. Anyone know how I can get it to Geoffrey? I've never written him. I need some help from you fellow Rushies. xD
